She was predeceased by: her husband Gus Saunders; her son Robert Saunders; and her parents, Lillian Doherty and William Howard. She is survived by: her children, Barbara (Jim Smith) and Glenn (Rose); her grandchildren, Douglas (Holly Somers), Christina (Clifford Commanda) and Anna; her great grandchildren, Brookelyn, Calan, Kieran and Charlie; and her sibling Gail (Howard Kay).

A reception was held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Kelly Funeral Home - Kanata Chapel (580 Eagleson Rd, Kanata, ON K2M1H4).

In Memoriam donations to the Terry Fox Foundation would be appreciated.
