“My memories of Geoff go back almost 40 years. We grew up as goalies in the Mount Pearl Minor Hockey Association. When I got to high school, Geoff was kind enough to get hit in the forehead in the warm-ups of my first ever high school hockey game, giving me my first start; a 12-2 loss!! He was the first to console me and make me feel part of the team. We also served together with 56 FES, though mine was not as extensive a service as his.
