He was predeceased by: his wife Lynne; and his parents, Darell Small and Fern Small. He is survived by: his children, Allison (Don) and Virginia; his grandchildren, Fiona and Tessa; and his siblings, Carol (James), Holly (John) and Leslie (Jeff).
