He was predeceased by: his former wife Catherine Brockbank. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Dignard; his stepchildren, Tara (Ben), Aaron and Shane (Alexa); his stepgrandchildren, Victoria and Vinny; his sisters, Nancy (Don), Maureen (late Murray Smith) and Sharon (Dan); and his nieces and nephews, Andrea (Mike), David (Tricia), Steven (Michelle) and Caitlin (Steve). He is also survived by many cousins and their children.
