He was predeceased by: his wife Elva Mildred Hoover; his daughter Darlene May Hoover; his sibling Madelene Clarke (Allan); and his sister-in-law Vera Yager (Bill). He is survived by: his daughters, Linda Woodruff (late Ben) of Port Dover and Melody Smith (Lloyd) of Port Dover; his grandchildren, Rodney Rushton (Cindy), Brad Smith and Angela Nesbitt (Blake); his great grandchildren, Shelby Murphy (Andrew), Clayton, Violet Smith and Rylee Nesbitt; his great great grandchild Natalie Murphy; his siblings, Doris Held (late Floyd), Joan Sherk (Don) and Milton Hoover (Sharen); and his siblings-in-law, Ruth Dennis (late Russell) of Simcoe, Earl Schweyer (Edith), Hazel Werner (John), Grace Lindsay (Grant) and Ralph Schweyer (Frieda).
