He was predeceased by: his spouse Jessie McIntosh; his parents, John Beckstead and Mary Beckstead; and his siblings, Ron, Fred, Gwynneth, Lorraine and June.

He is survived by: his children, Gail (Dick Turner) of Mallorytown, June Beckstead of Prescott and Jack (Evelyn) of Johnstown; and his grandchildren, Jenny, Bradley, Lee (Holly), Jessica (Yuri) and Ashley (Michael). He is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.
