He was predeceased by: his wife Bessie Sypes; his parents, Earl Sypes and Florence Sypes; his siblings, Evelyn Lapier (Sanfield), Goldie Lapier (Acil), Shirley Lapier (Arthur), Lee (Isabel) and Ken Sypes (Evelyn); and his close friend Velma Casselman. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
