He was predeceased by: his child Michele Bates; and his siblings, Terry and Audrey. He is survived by: his wife Gail Bates; his children, Marilyn Panczuk (John) and Brian Bates (Madeline); his grandchildren, Tanya Panczuk, Justin Bates (Nikki), Tyler Panczuk (Allie) and Adam Bates (Madison); and his sibling Marion.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Calendrier Innisfil Funeral Home (7910 Yonge St, Innisfil, ON L9S1L5).
