She was predeceased by: her parents, Lauretta Mellon and Alex Mellon; her brothers, Lyle Mellon (late Elaine) and Ward Mellon (late Margaret); and her siblings-in-law, Iris Swerdfeger (late Morgan), Lillian Anderson, Edvin Jorgensen (Vi), Herdis Cowper (late Norm) and Elmer Jorgensen (Marilyn Kading).

She is survived by: her husband David Jorgensen; her children, Gerald and Heather McShane (Barry); her grandchildren, Kelsey, Dawson McShane and Kaylee Desnoyers (Sam Smith); her great grandchild Connor Smith; her sister Margaret Roberts (Bob); and her siblings-in-law, Margit Mitchell (Tom), Henry Jorgensen (late Dolly), Eldon Jorgensen (Shirley), Sven Jorgensen (Kathy) and Winston Jorgensen (Donna). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers donations in Memory of Laura may be made to the Sprucehaven Cemetery or Inkerman United Church.
