She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Donald K. Misener; her children, Ginger (Bob), Eleanor (Tim) and Andy (Lisa); her parents, Paul and Helena Dawson of Gunningsville; her brother Eugene Dawson; her grandmother Rilla; and her close friends, Zahra and Cathy. She was also cherished by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

If so desired, and in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Community Outreach Program at Silver Spire United Church (Rilla's church community for most of her adult life), the Canadian Cancer Society (Rilla having lost both her father and brother to cancer), or Community Care of St. Catharines & Thorold, would be warmly appreciated by the family.
