He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Leah Simkin; his children, Shira Lester (Leslie Silverstein), Taali Lester (Bryan Tollman), Michael Simkin and Rebecca Simkin (late François Gauvin); his sisters, Irma Haines (Jack Haines) and Rita Lester; his grandchildren, Sam Strelshik (Palmer Baranek), Dr. Dalya Cohen, Sarit Cohen (Avery Guerin), Gilli Cohen, Hannah Carlson (Andy Carlson), Sadie Tollman-Waisbren (Will Waisbren), Ruby Tollman and Jacqueline Gauvin; and his great grandchildren, Nancy Tollman and Asher Carlson.
