He was predeceased by: his parents, Hubert and Lottie; and his siblings, Ren, Lena McIntyre (Hugh), Roy (Shirley), Arnold, Eva Collins (Ronnie) and Glen.

He is survived by: his wife Joan Cryderman; his children, Tim (Donna), Jody (Courtney) and Perry (Carolyn); his grandchildren, Troy (Brittany), Cody (Kayla), Chelsea (Alan), Lucas and Kristen; his great grandchildren, Ethan and Emmett; his siblings, Earl (late Gloria) and Jean McDonald (late Angus); and his parents-in-law, Junior Thompson (Rita), Alice and Janie.

As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to Albert House, St. Joseph's Villa, Cornwall.
