He was predeceased by: his parents, Del Taylor and Lois Taylor; his brother Clarence; his parents-in-law, G. Norman Rousseau and June Rousseau; and his brothers-in-law, S. Norman Rousseau and Hugh McLelan.

He is survived by: his significant other Cheryl; his daughters, Renee (Greg) and Amanda (Darryl); his grandchild Brynn; his daughter Sister Lane McLelan; and his siblings-in-law, Denise Mayer (Mark) and George Rousseau (Darya). He is also survived by nephews, cousins.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations are made in Rick's honour and memory to Myeloma Canada.
