He is survived by: his significant other Cheryl; his daughters, Renee (Greg) and Amanda (Darryl); his grandchild Brynn; his daughter Sister Lane McLelan; and his siblings-in-law, Denise Mayer (Mark) and George Rousseau (Darya). He is also survived by nephews, cousins.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations are made in Rick's honour and memory to Myeloma Canada.
