He was predeceased by: his parents, Lavergne Sibbick and Jean Sibbick (McLaren); his sister Betty (Willard); and also, Robert (Bob) and Helen Peterson.

He is survived by: his sons, Douglas (Marjorie), Bruce and Ian (Jane); his grandchildren, Lauren, Daniel, Evelyn and Cameron; his brother-in-law King (Peterson); and also McLaren.
