He was predeceased by: his daughter Marissa; his parents, Earl Carruthers and Irene Carruthers; his in-laws, Art and Frieda Stewart; and his brother-in-law Jerry Stewart.
He is survived by: his wife Charlene Carruthers (Stewart); his children, Tara, Andrew Ward of Ilderton, Chad Carruthers and Wendy Jaques of Poplar Hill; his son-in-law Steve Cesarone; his grandchildren, Decklan, Rylyn, Marshall and Lawson; his siblings, Den, Shelly Carruthers of Parkhill, Karen, Pete Wilson of Lucan, Kevin and Rebekah Carruthers of Ailsa Craig; and his in-laws, Sharron, Heinz Jansel of London, Beverly Trist of Burlington, Shirley Stewart of Ilderton, Michael Stewart of Ilderton, Brian Gailling of British Columbia, Sheila and Brian Kelly of Nairn.
A celebration of life was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Ilderton Community Centre (13168 Ilderton Rd, Ilderton, ON N0M2A0).
If desired donations to St. Joseph's Care Foundation – Palliative Care Program (Parkwood Institute) or LHSF – Verspeeten Family Cancer Centre would be appreciated by the family.
