He was predeceased by: his parents, Edith Grigg (Wyatt) and Isaac Grigg. He is survived by: his wife Sonya Grigg (Lave); his children, Kim Waugh (late Brian Edwards), Laurie Kornmuller (Peter) and Jeff Grigg (Michelle); his grandchildren, Matt (Nicole), Kiersten (James), Anna (Trent) and Claire; his great grandchild Emily; and his siblings-in-law, Carl Lave (Gail Burns), Tony Lave (Gladys) and Grethe Henn (Scott). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
