He is survived by: his close friend Myrtle Hastings (Smith); his children, Heather, Scott Furtney of Port Dover, Rick Hastings of Ilderton, Becky Hastings and Bruce McCutcheon of Owen Sound; his grandchildren, Lauren, Corey, Joel, Melissa, Matthew, Donna, Leah, Dan, Josh, Theresa, Barrett, Brodie and Brittany; and his siblings, Robert (Bonnie Hastings), Betty Churchill, John (Sandy Hastings), Bonnie (Verne Westover), Honey Hastings, Margaret (Bill Henderson), Bruce (Janet Smith), Carol (Tony Sammut), Eileen (Bob McCoy), Ralph (Marilyn Smith) and Greg Smith. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
