He was predeceased by: his spouse Frieda M. Stewart (James); his son Jerry; and his siblings, Nettie, Gwen, Jaunita, Margaret, Jim, Glen, John and George (Pete).

He is survived by: his children, Sharron Jansel, Heinz Jansel of London, Bev Stewart of Guelph, Shirley Stewart of Ilderton, Charlene Carruthers, Ken Carruthers of Port Franks, Michael Stewart of Ilderton, Brian Gailling of British Columbia, Sheila Kelly and Brian Kelly of Nairn; his grandchildren, Chris, Sarah, Matt, Angie, Dustin, Jen of Rebecca, Tara, Andrew, Chad, MacKenna, Marissa, Steve, Reece of Liam, Tyler and Luke; and his great grandchildren, Decklan, Nathan, Rylyn, Nicholas, Marshall, Lawson and Eric.

In lieu of flowers donations to Telfer Cemetery would be appreciated by the family.
