He was predeceased by: his parents, Doctor William Howard Charlton (Bill) and Beatrice Charlton (Moffat); and his sibling Bea Joy MacBrien (Charlton). He is survived by: his close friends, Howard, Heather, Greg, Monique, Ted, Alysia, Nancy and Jeff; and his grandchildren, Madeline, Meredith, Elise, Lane, Erin, Colleen, Jack, Kaly and John. He is also survived by his family, extended family, and other friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Muskoka Alzheimer Society, the Huntsville Hospital or the Algonquin Grace Hospice would be most appreciated.
