It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Roy Edwin Hanson of Huntsville, Ontario, born in Toronto, Ontario, who passed away on December 27, 2021, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Fritz Hanson and Martha Hanson; his wife Barbara Anne; his children, Paul Hanson (Heather), Ruth-Anne Simpson (Paul) and Lisa Nash (Mark); his grandchildren, Peter Simpson (Amanda), Stephen Simpson (Grace), Laura Simpson, Michael Nash (Jaclyn), Adam Nash, Noah Hanson (Hannah) and Leah Hanson; his great grandchildren, Levi, Jonah, Luke, Rowan and Rhys; and his siblings, Gladys Broomfield (Sid) and Bob Leyland (Barb). He was also cherished by his many nieces and nephews.

Due to Covid restrictions, the funeral service will be private and by invitation only.
