He was predeceased by: his parents, Ken Hawman and Helen Hawman; his sister Lynne Greer; and his siblings-in-law, Harold Pitcher (Julia) and Gloria Pitcher.

He is survived by: his wife Betty; his stepdaughter Kim (Barry); his stepgranddaughters, Courtney (Travis) and Megan; his uncle Robert Oakley (Norma); and his siblings-in-law, Bert Pitcher and Joan Pitcher.
