He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Smith and Annie Smith; his wife Wilma Smith; and his grandchild Trinity. He is survived by: his children, Gary Smith, Brenda Sparling (Garry), Terry Smith (Debbie), Shelley Groomes (Edd), Virginia Dempsey (Rob) and Adam Smith; and his grandchildren, Sam (Lisa), Cassandra (Sam), Michaela, Neil (Angie), Jaime (Nick), Kyle (Jenna), Ashlea (Jason), Terry (Missy), Amy (Josh), Kelsey, Alex, Hannah, Patrick, Mason and Harper. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family.
As an expression of sympathy and in lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Hospice Huntsville or Heart & Stroke Foundation.
