He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert McEown and Myrtle McEown; his spouse Jean McEown; his grandson Matthew Bullock; and his siblings, Audrey Wood and Robert McEown.
He is survived by: his close friend Verta MacDonald; his daughters, Karen Bullock (Charles) and Patti Reid (Clayton); his grandchildren, Tara Bullock, Nicole Reid (Kristin) and Jaime Prud'homme (Andre); and his great grandchildren, Ethan, Bryden, Isabella, Mylei, Kaylynn, Candice, Taylor, Liam, Charlie and Madeline. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, MS Society or Hospice Huntsville.
