It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Hubbel of Huntsville, Ontario, who passed away on January 9, 2024, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of John Hubbel to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Franklin Hubbel and Hazel Hubbel (Betty); and his sister Janet Heaton. He is survived by: his wife Dianne Marie Hubbel; his sister Joan Bowden; his sons, Dennis (Debbi) and Patrick Skinner (Sharalyn); his grandchildren, Jon (Cassie), Thomas (Robyn), Josh (Sammie), Shelyn (Ian), Jesse (Kassandra), Amanda (Jack) and Kody (Jenn); and his great grandchildren, Ivory, Rowan, Jaxen, Boaz, Felix, Angus, Freya, Hawthorne, Arlo, Ben, Winnie, Luke, Benjamin and Carter.

The family asks that a donations be given to the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul (https://ssvp.ca).

“Jack was my friend, David's uncle, but we all called him "uncle Jack". He seemed larger than life, before we were even old enough to fully appreciate what that meant. He was a man who marched to his own drummer. It wasn't out of arrogance or defiance, I think it was part of his search for what was truly of value in life. Our contacts were only occasional, but he left a mark on my younger self, from which I benefit to this day.”
