He was predeceased by: his spouse Marg Gibbard (Holland); his parents, Thomas Reginald Gibbard and Dorthy Gibbard (Taylor); and his siblings, Tom, Ruth, Arnold, George, Eleanor and Glenna.

He is survived by: his children, Ken Gibbard (Kim) and Donna Currie; and his grandchildren, Zack Ried, Tasha Wreggitt (Josh), Jenna, Taylor Gibbard, Ryan Currie (Rebbecca) and Josh Currie.
