He was predeceased by: his cousin Hedwig Ruhland; and his parents, Peter Waxl and Therese Waxl. He is survived by: his wife Nancy; his son Gordon (Kathy); his grandsons, Jordan (Sadie) and Jason of Marten River; his stepchildren, Alison (Sarah), Janice (John), Kyle, Derek, Andrew, Graham (Gillian) and Paislie (Raylea); his daughter Diane (Ray Wagg) of Nova Scotia; his grandchildren, Charlotte (John Potter), Mitchell (Monika) and Haley (Carl Boisvert); his great grandchildren, Kathryne, Ellis, Owen, Gabi, Ollie, Mitchell and Nicholas; his nephew Manfred Siedel (Barbel); his friend Sam Springer (Rosi); and his cousins, Christa Hecht (Gerhart), Franz and Christian Hecht.
