“as a boy growing up in Hornepayne, my visits to the Haavaldsrud's sawmill, was often. My father, introduced me to the family. I spoke with Walter last, at the Hornepayne Hospital, in 2019, and he still remembered me!. Such a quiet, and easy going man. Of course, almost everyone in Hornepayne, is family, to one another. That is something, that a small isolated town, instills in us all. Our condolences to all of the Haavaldsrud family and relatives,. George and Cheryl Priest. Port Alberni, BC”
