He was predeceased by: his child Ronald Porter; and his siblings, Nina Eldridge and Fred Porter. He is survived by: his wife Harriet Porter; his children, Alice Sweeney (Frank), Ross Jr Porter (Joyce) and Eugene Porter (Patricia); his grandchildren, Cindy, Robert, Carolyn (Dan) and Tamie (George); his great grandchildren, Katie, Jenna and Nathan; and his sibling Doris Smith (late Les).
