He was predeceased by: his parents, Gijsbertus "Gilbert" and Teuntje; and his spouse Jean. He is survived by: his sons, David (Mae) and Pete (late Patricia); his grandchildren, Jon (Britt), Michelle (Trevor), Samantha, David (Ariel), Chris (Lisa), Peter (Victoria), Paul (Mindy), Bern (Taylor), Jacob (Katey) and Caley; and his siblings, Jocoba "Coby" of Waddinxveen, Dirk (Hendrika) of Innisfil and Elizabeth (Kees) of Waddinxveen. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.
