She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert John and Elizabeth Fanjoy (Edgett); her husband Bill Bateman; her sister Marion Pauderis (Fanjoy); her brother-in-law David Bateman; and also, Jim and Vira Bateman (Sutherland).

She is survived by: her children, Tom Bateman (Margaret), Allyson Piper (John) and Sandra Lannin (Dave); her grandchildren, Corine, Laura, Jeanette Bateman and Declan Lannin; her siblings, Margaret Fanjoy, Marjorie Fanjoy and Al Fanjoy (Judy); her brother-in-law Moe Pauderis (Susan); and her nieces and nephews, Noel, Mark Pauderis and Mary Ann.

Donations made in memory of Kay to the Canadian Cancer Society, the War Amps, or the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.
