She was predeceased by: her spouse Thomas James; her parents, Fanny May and Robert Lee Gowan; and her siblings, Neil, Willis (Madalene), John (Thelma), Donald (Bernice), Margaret Buckton (Cecil), Ruby Legge (Gordon), Laureen Gowan (Joe), Mary Herron and Anna Farrow.
She is survived by: her children, Terry (Rhonda) of Owen Sound, Emily Innis (Kevin) of Burlington and Jewel Gomaa (Hassan) of West Arran; her grandchildren, Jamie (Christine), Matthew (Mikila), Shauna (James), Laura (Curtis), Carolyn (Reg), Daniel (Micha) and Hossam; her great grandchildren, Sebastian, Huck, Everett, Ellie, Archer, Luke, Lena, Alyssa and Amelia; and her siblings-in-law, Muriel Gowan, Ross Herron and Gordon Farrow. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
