He was predeceased by: his son Stephen Shepherd; his parents, Alexander Shepherd and Ivy Shepherd; his brother Raymond Shepherd; and his brother-in-law Andrew Williams.

He is survived by: his wife Roberta Shepherd (Cabel); his sons, Stuart Shepherd (Madeline) of Zurich and Michael Shepherd of London; his grandchildren, Michael, Alicia, Jordan, Bryndon and Kieran; and his siblings-in-law, June Shepherd, Mary Elizabeth and Reginald Blagdon.
