He was predeceased by: his brother Laverne McCarter; his parents, Eva McCarter (Robinson) and Jim McCarter; and his father-in-law Lee Webber. He is survived by: his spouse Marg McCarter (Webber); his children, Gerry McCarter, Larry, Leona McCarter, Dan and Vicki McCarter; his grandchildren, Samantha, Mike Hood, Brittany, Tanner Merner, Justin McCarter, Jordan McCarter, Kaitlyn McCarter, Bryce Vantyghem, Olivia McCarter and Jared Roy; his great grandchild Lachlan Merner; and his siblings, Ken (Joyce McCarter), Marion McCarter, Barb (Larry Ratz), Marlene O'Brien and Doug (Patty Webber). He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews.
