He was predeceased by: his parents, Percy Carson and Jessie Carson; his wife Mary; his brother Jack Carson (Lyn); his great grandchild Piper Jean Chisholm; and his nephews, Donnie (Colleen) and John (Susan).

He is survived by: his children, Brynn, Sandy (Keith Chisholm) and Bill (Brenda Healey); his sibling Jean (Glen Culham); his great grandchildren, Quinton, Heaven, Rory, Keira and Caleb; his close friend Nicole LeNy; his nieces and nephews, Allan (Mira), Doug (Maureen), Barb (Linc), Bev (Mike), Dennis (Anne) and Brian (Sandra); and also, Carolyn, Stephanie and Leonard. He is also survived by his great nieces and nephews, and many friends.
