He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. Claude Olmstead and Hazel Casey Olmstead; his former wife Dorothy Taylor; his son Eric; and his brother Robert.
He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Waugh-Olmstead; his son Phillip; his daughter-in-law Katherine; his grandchildren, Isaac (Lisa), Andrew and Jessica Johnston (Joel); and his brothers, James (Ruth) and David (Elizabeth). He is also survived by great-grandchildren.
