She was predeceased by: her husband Kevin Whalen; her siblings, Annastasia Cliffe, Jimmy Tobin (Agnes Tobin) and Edward Tobin (Evelyn Tobin); and her parents, Francis Tobin and Kathaleen Tobin of Madoc, Ontario..

She is survived by: her children, Tom Whalen (Doreen), Catherine Kwiecien (Stephen), Rob Whalen (Lesley), Ann-Marie Mohns (Dale) and Dave Whalen (Marcie); her grandchildren, Alleisha (Jay), Breanna (Tyler), Spencer (Holly), Emily, Natalie, Jacob, Hannah, Josh, Aidan and Liam; her great grandchildren, Charlie, Jack and Elowyn; and her caregivers, Dr. Levesque, MacIntosh Cancer Clinic, Trixie Barrow and Dr. Mustard. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
