She was predeceased by: her parents, Reginald Coombes and Alice Morgan; her husband Ian Steele; and her siblings, Enid Mighton, Janice Hewton and Roger Coombes.

She is survived by: her children, Romany Cury (Neal) and Robb Woodbeck of Ottawa; her stepchild Ehren Steele of Niagara Falls; her grandchild Maren Cury; and her sisters, Mavis James (Bill), Veva Curtis (Charles) and Gwen Potts (Doug). She is also survived by nieces, nephews and extended family.
