He was predeceased by: his parents, Arnold Poole and Lila Poole; and his sisters, Myrtle Ducie (Don) and Ruth Harren (Earl). He is survived by: his wife Connie Poole; his children, Linda (John), Ron (Mary) and Diane (Paul); his granddaughters, Rebecca (Rory), Kathryn and Sarah (Paul); and his sister Madeline Martin (late Bill). He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.
