He was predeceased by: his wife Laura (Stringer); his siblings, Lyle, Doug, Ellis, Claudia, Marie, Beverley and Shelby; and his parents, Harold Armstrong and Thelma Armstrong.

He is survived by: his children, Bryan, Michelle of Port Perry and Julie Rossiter of Newcastle; his grandchildren, Jesse, Taylor and Rhyse; and his siblings, Gwen Davis of Monteagle, Ian and Aileen Armstrong of Bancroft.
