He was predeceased by: his parents, Bruce Harkness and Ida Harkness (Jacques); his daughter Heather; and his brother-in-law Carl Bartman. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Harkness (Rode); his children, Sonya, Darrell of Hanover, Brad and Erin of McIntosh; his grandchildren, Maria, Deacon, Katie, Gracie and Bryce; his great grandchild Chloe; his siblings, Linda Walker of Belmore, Leland and Jane Harkness of McIntosh; his siblings-in-law, Marilyn Bartman of Palmerston, Harold and Susan Rode of Ottawa; and his niece Ellen (family: Masonic).
Memorial donations to Heart and Stroke Foundation, or the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated, and may be made through the Hardy-Lee Funeral Home, Harriston.
