It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Merv Cowan of Harriston, Ontario, who passed away on August 9, 2022, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Merv Cowan to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his spouse Kathlyne Marie Cowan (Madigan); his sister-in-law Trish Madigan of Guelph; his brothers, Murray (Flora Cowan) and Verdon Cowan; and his siblings-in-law, Mary, Gerald Hale, Frank, Shirley Madigan, Jean, Cyril Hale, Margaret, Donald McLean, John Madigan, Mike, Muriel Madigan, Tom Madigan, Leo, Audrey Madigan and Jim Madigan.

He is survived by: his children, Cliff Cowan of Harriston, Joli Erb-Cowan of Harriston, Brian of Harriston, Bonnie Cowan of Harriston, Todd of Harriston and Lindsay Cowan of Harriston; his grandchildren, Kyle, Melissa Cowan, Camille Cowan, Brad, Jess Cowan, Brett Cowan, Caitlin Erb, Curtis Erb, Clark Cowan, Ian Cowan and Blair Cowan; his great grandchildren, Indie and Conrad; his siblings, Eleanor and Butch Detweiler of Kitchener; and his brother-in-law Paul. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.
