John Wassink Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Wassink of Harriston, Ontario, who passed away on February 11, 2025, at the age of 65, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parent Reint Wassink; his brother Ron Wassink; his father-in-law Cornelius Verbeek; and his sister-in-law Alice Verbeek. He is survived by: his spouse EmmyLou Wassink; his children, Lyndsay, Curtis John, Mark, Vanessa Wassink, Jerusha, Dan Scott, Jared and Meg Wassink; his grandchildren, Aaralyn, Calia, Ryker, Kyler, Declan, Maverick, Weston, Landry, Keaton, Calvin and Arissa; his parent Roelie Wassink; his siblings, Joan and Reg Laferriere of Hepworth; his sister-in-law Alexandra Wassink of Elora; his mother-in-law Emma Verbeek; and his siblings-in-law, Janet, Bill McKay, Dick, Carol Verbeek, Marion Donaldson, Neil, Arlene Verbeek, Yvonne and Ralph Moesker. He is also survived by his family, friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM and from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Bethel Christian Reformed Church (345 Elizabeth St E, Listowel, ON N4W2P7). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial donations to Christian Aid Ministries or Peoples' Gospel Hour would be appreciated and may be made through the Hardy-Lee Funeral Home, Harriston.
