James Wilfred Harkness Obituary
The memory of James Wilfred Harkness (Harriston, Ontario), who passed away on November 16, 2024 at the age of 87, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilfred Harkness and Isabel Harkness; and his siblings-in-law, Velma, Lloyd Binkley and Eldon Bell.
He is survived by: his wife Doreen Harkness; his children, Alan Harkness (Doug), Frank Wu, Doug, Charlene Harkness, John Harkness, James Harkness and Wai Kin Chan; his grandchildren, Alexis, Michael Rock, Kurtis Harkness, Meagan, Spencer Harkness, Mackenzie, Jorja Harkness, Liam, Sienna and Kaiden Harkness-Chan; his great grandchildren, Brexton, Teagan, Scarlett, Levi and Layne; his sister Mary Harkness of Guelph; and his in-laws, Doris Bell of Aurora, Morris Langwisch and Ross Langwisch of Drew. He is also survived by many cousins and nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 20th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Royal Canadian Legion (53 Elora St S, Harriston, ON N0G1Z0). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 20th 2024 at 6:00 PM at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #296 (53 Elora St S, Harriston, ON N0G1Z0).
Memorial donations to the Knox-Calvin Presbyterian Church, Harriston or the Palmerston and District Hospital Foundation would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
