He is survived by: his wife Margaret; his son Michael McMillan; his grandchildren, Aaron, Trisha, Rebecca, Jayden and Sarah; his sister Anne O'Brecht; and his siblings-in-law, Edward "Ted", Nancy Hopkins, Ronald, Jean Hopkins, Robert "Bob", Marilyn Hopkins, Deborah, Murray Thompson, Richard "Rick" and Debby Hopkins.
