He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Emke and Mary Emke; and his brother-in-law Ken Hilgendorff. He is survived by: his wife Burnette "Nettie" of Hanover; his children, Paul Lahn (Lynne) of Walkerton and Linda Wettlaufer (Steve) of Neustadt; his grandchildren, Joel (Amy), Danielle (Tyson), Sara (Barry), Brent (Ashley), Shayne (Lynn) and Jamie (Danielle); his great grandchildren, Rileigh, Tristan, Elliott, Josey, Mia and Adrianne; his brother Wayne Emke (Eileen) of Hanover; and his siblings-in-law, Gerry "Butch" Hilgendorff of Neustadt, Joanne Hilgendorff of Hanover and Helen Hilgendorff of Neustadt. He is also survived by his nieces, nephews.
