He was predeceased by: his wife Ruth (Reynolds); his parents, Arnetta Spielmacher (Russwurm) and Leander Spielmacher; and his brothers, John, Claude and Melvin.
He is survived by: his son Richard William Spielmacher of Hanover; and his siblings, Larry (Sharon) of Carlsruhe, Sharon Priebe (Terry) of Owen Sound and Darlene Hunt (John) of Hanover. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
