He was predeceased by: his parents, Alex Poechman and Christina Poechman; his wife Phyllis; his sisters, Marie McLaughlin (Ed), Eileen Flaman (Bob) and Anne Van Eyk (Frank); his brother-in-law Earl Jackson; his sister Louise Hafermehl (Harvey); and his brother-in-law Gerry Ferguson.
He is survived by: his siblings, John Poechman of Hanover, Reta Poechman of Kitchener, Alfred Poechman (Marilyn Bennett) of Hanover and Ruth Jackson of Port Burwell; and his siblings-in-law, Sheila Ferguson of Beeton, Carol Dion (Don) of Port Carling and Jim Aiken (Mae) of Burk's Falls. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Memorial donations may be made to St. Vincent de Paul Society, Hanover Knights of Columbus, or St. Mary's General Hospital Cardiac Rehab, Waterloo.
