He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Hamilton and Blanche Hamilton; his stepfather Howard MacCallum; his father-in-law Jack Elliott; and his brother-in-law Donald Martin.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Hamilton; his children, Jennifer, Dwayne Harder of Saskatchewan and Amy Hamilton of Oakville; his grandchildren, Anneka, Emma and Madison Harder; his sisters, Joanne McDonagh (Rod) of Lucknow and Wendy McCallum (Rob) of Ailsa Craig; his mother-in-law Evelyn Elliott; and his siblings-in-law, Nancy Kelly (John), Carol Collins (Grant), Susan MacDonald (Brian), Sally Martin (Bryce Sibbick), John Elliott (Jane) and Janice Wilhelm (Greg). He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews.
