She was predeceased by: her parents, Lloyd Thornton and Donna Eaton; her uncle Tom Hermeston of Teeswater; her grandparents, Bert, Louise Thornton of Teeswater, Samuel and Christena Chittick of Wingham; her sister-in-law Shelley Hales; and her cousin Nancy Buckingham.
She is survived by: her siblings, David Thornton (late Shelley Hales) of Squamish, BC, Karen James of Teeswater and Jacqueline Cassell (Glenn Cassell) of Regina, SK.; her aunt Joyce; her children, Justin Thornton (Kelly) of London and Jessi Jones of Seaforth; her stepchild Jessie Kingston of Chesley; her grandchildren, Grayson, Callum and Kaydence; her nieces and nephews, Courtney Barnes (Andrew Barnes), Andy Jaworski (Melissa), Rachel Galloway (Ryan), Kevin (Sarah Hales), Christina Clark, Cory Clark (Jill Swartz) and Jimmie Cassell (Ashley Cassell); and her cousins, Paul Buckingham (Leighanne), Marion Ross (Jack), Joan Armstrong (Earl), Lynda Gow (Steve) and Jan Unger.
Memorial donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or Alzheimer Society would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
