He was predeceased by: his father Albert Speer; and his wife Hazel. He is survived by: his children, Dennis Speer (Dana) of Peterborough, Dianne Speer of Hanover, Douglas Speer (Cheryl) of Hanover, Jeffery Speer (Penny) of Mitchell and Scott Speer (Tammy) of Barrie; his grandchildren, Danielle (David), Deborah, Lindsay (Brandon), Nathan (Leah), Jordan (Jennifer), Tyson (Kaitlyn) and Colton; his great grandchildren, Dawson, Daxton and Raelynn; and his sister Peggy Ruff.
